Instruction for Presenters

Speakers

Presenters will be allotted 20 minutes total presentation time (15 minutes for the lecture and 5 minutes for questions and discussion). In order to synchronize the parallel sessions, session chairs have been instructed to maintain strict control over the time schedule. This is to allow participants to move from one session to another without missing anything of each presentation.
The official format of an oral presentation is via projector using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Please download and use the template pptx file.
You can modify the template file by adding wallpapers and/or logos. However, other formats, such as .ppt (old) or .pptm (with macro), will not be accepted.
We recommend the aspect ratio of 4:3 for the presentation slides.
Due to time restrictions, presenters will not be allowed to connect their own computers to the data projectors at the Symposium.
All presenters must load and test their presentation in the PC Preview Room the day prior their session.
Rehearsals and editing will not be allowed on the Symposium computers. It is the responsibility of individual presenters (not the organizers) to ensure their presentation is uploaded and checked. An audio-visual technician will be available to assist.

PC Preview Center

Room K, located on the second floor, is designated as the PC Preview Room.
Computers will be available for speakers to preview and edit their presentations.
Speakers are encouraged to report to the PC Preview Room the day prior or at least 1 hour prior to their scheduled presentation.
